Academics

“The principal goal of education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done." - Jean Piaget

Curriculum

CIS provides a robust, ICSE-affiliated curriculum from kindergarten to grade 10, offering a strong foundation in core subjects such as English, languages, mathematics, science, and social studies. As students advance, the curriculum includes specialized fields like physics, chemistry, biology, history, and geography, delivered through experiential learning.

Our child-centered approach connects classroom content with real-life applications through hands-on projects, exposure trips, and life skills training. This approach nurtures curiosity, resilience, and critical thinking, unlocking each child’s potential and preparing them for future success.

Innovative Pedagogy

Our Innovative Pedagogy blends forward-thinking teaching techniques with trauma-informed care, fostering an environment that supports both academic and emotional growth. We maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio of 1:5, enabling personalized attention to cater to each student's unique needs.

Through hands-on learning, exposure trips, and school exhibitions, our curriculum promotes creativity, critical thinking, and independence. By fostering active participation and a supportive, inclusive atmosphere, we encourage students to become lifelong learners who are resilient, curious, and confident as they navigate their educational journeys.

Faculty

Our dedicated faculty is integral to both the academic and personal growth of our students. Highly qualified and committed, our teachers bring empathy and a student-centered approach to their work, supported by ongoing professional development in trauma-informed care and modern teaching strategies.

With a 1:5 teacher-to-student ratio, we provide individualized attention that builds a nurturing environment. Beyond academics, our faculty also mentors students in social-emotional skills, collaborating with care staff and counselors to ensure that each child receives holistic support for their overall well-being.

Teacher & Care Staff Training

At CIS, the well-being of our students is our top priority. Teachers and care staff participate in regular training sessions, enhancing their skills in trauma-informed care, teaching methods, and emotional support.

Our boarding care staff receives specialized training to meet the unique needs of students in a residential setting. To strengthen communication and support, we also host quarterly parent-teacher meetings.

This collaborative approach ensures that students receive consistent support from both the school and their families, fostering a strong foundation for their personal and academic development.

Leadership Development

Our Warrior Development Program empowers students to become confident leaders capable of breaking cycles of poverty and creating positive change in their communities. We focus on leadership skills across fields like medicine, education, healthcare, social work, and business, encouraging students to pursue their passions.

Through critical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving activities, we equip students with the tools they need to lead with integrity and compassion. This program nurtures future leaders who are committed to making a meaningful impact, both within the school and in society at large.
